Professor of English (retired - Emerita), Memorial University of Newfoundland, I now live in Toronto. My academic work (research and publication) over the last 15 years has focused on Dracula - the novel, its author, its genesis, etc. I still give occasional lectures in the Toronto area as well as throughout North America and Europe, and I have participated in numerous radio and TV documentaries.
Prior to my Drac days, my interests were primarily in Newfoundland literature, especially the works of my father (the late Ted Russell), and British Romantics especially Byron and the Shelleys).
The content of this journal will probably be free-ranging, and consequently unpredictable. For fans of the Count, he will not be forgotten. But there is life beyond Undeath and I do want to dabble in it occasionally!
